CONDON REPORT

Opening

From 1966 to 1968 the University of Colorado ran a government-funded UFO study under Edward Condon. The Condon Report landed in 1969 and was used to close Project Blue Book. The body of the report contained cases the staff could not cheaply kill. The conclusions said the subject was not worth the Air Force's time. That split is the file. Hynek and others treated the close as a policy ending dressed as science. This card is the study and the use that was made of it.

Condon is a university book that closed a project. Keep later bitterness on the shelf as later life that still points at the last chapter.

The spine of the file is a 1969 report and a 1969 close. The Condon Report is Colorado paper. It is not a claim every case inside it was solved.

There is no page that makes the study a myth. There is no page that makes every interior case a close. There is no Blue Book after December 1969 under that caption.

A printed report and a dated close are the stay-behinds. Working papers on the order of writing would finish the split. The chapters already finish a clean-kill story.

The conclusions closed a project. The case chapters did not all agree to die.

Competing explanations

A rigged close. This is the hard reading. It has conclusions that served an ending. It has interior cases that fought.

A genuine study that found little wheat. The official door. Has to carry the staff leaks and the split.

A later myth hung on a real book. Weak against the printed report and the dated close.

Hybrid caution. A university wrote a book. A project used it to end. The chapters still sit there.

What still will not resolve: staff papers that show the conclusions were written first, or a reading that makes every interior case a close. Either one would finish the split. The proving object is still those working papers, held as order of writing, not as another preface war.
