Avebury, Wiltshire. Neolithic henge and stone ring with a village inside. The stones were here first—older tenant than any pictogram. Alton Barnes is a 1990 field down the road. Not a landing pad. Stones-first chronology still keeps the henge on the prehistoric shelf apart from modern crop-mark tourism.
