Opening
In St Louis in 1913 Pearl Curran, sitting with a Ouija board among friends, began to take a voice that called itself Patience Worth, a seventeenth-century Englishwoman. The board gave way to dictation. Novels and poems came fast enough that Pearl's ordinary schooling became part of the fight: The Sorry Tale, Hope Trueblood, pages of mannered English a housewife was not supposed to own. Casper Yost of the St Louis Globe-Democrat put her on a respectable desk. Psychologists sat. Sceptics sat.
Curran died in 1937. The manuscripts remain. No parish line has produced Patience as a documented woman matching the board's life. The file is speed, volume, and a Midwestern table that would not stay a parlour game.
The spine of the file is a board that became a novelist. Patience Worth is Pearl Curran's output. It is not a grave in Dorset the file can open.

There is no 1600s paper that matches the biography as given. There is no proof Pearl had a hidden classical education the family hid. There is no second medium who continued the same novels after 1937 as the same hand.

Competing explanations
A discarnate author. This is the sitting circle. It has volume. It has no grave.
A hidden talent in Pearl that the board let speak. The psychological door. Has to carry the sudden mannered English.
A hoax with a researcher in the next room. Weak against years of public dictation.
Hybrid caution. A St Louis table produced novels. England did not produce the woman as filed.

Finding
Pearl Curran sat in St Louis in 1913 and a board that named itself Patience Worth began to dictate novels at a speed her schooling was not supposed to explain. Believe the output. A housewife does not invent thousands of pages for a parlour evening.
What still will not resolve: a parish line that matches the life, or a hidden education that accounts for the manner. Either one would pin the source. The proving object is still that source, held as Pearl or as Patience by more than a later test score.
